A handsome official 1905 president theodore roosevelt daivson inaugural medal. This bronze medal appears to have gilt overlay, most likely done many years ago.
This medal, with raised 3-d artistic effects on each side, was designed (obverse) by charles e. Barber.
The engravers and medalist was joseph k. Davisons son of pa. Excellent condition. Any shadows are just that ~~ shadows no medal, but not defective. The front depicts a profile of president roosevelt, with his name circled around the outer edge theodore roosevelt, in large letters. The beautiful verso, in high relief, reads, inaugurated president of the unietd states march 4 1905. Below this and circled to the right side is a lareg wreath. Below the wreaht is the name of the medalist jos. K.
Davisons sons. The medal is in excellent condition with only one tiny scratch on the presidents left cheek, barely noticeable when displayed. It measures approximately 1 ¾ (44mm) in diameter. Comes wiht display block. The presidential inauguration fo president roosevelt was held on march 4, 1905.
